I recently had the same problem with my laptop. It happened after an update. None of the suggestions, with some being very technical, to solve the problem worked because I could not log in. So I understand your frustration. This is what worked for me.
Boot into Safe Mode
- Turn on computer.
- Turn off computer as logo appears on screen.
- Repeat 3 times.
- Turn on computer and wait for login screen to appear.
- Log in.
Windows started normally after this and there hasn’t been any startup issues since then. I did not do anything extra to fix the problem. Hope this helps.
