So after reseting it and connecting it, my device manager is finally showing it, but now i need to figure out how to set it up.
Can i use a CCTV security camera as my webcam on my windows 10?
I have an old CCTV camera which i would like to use as a webcam instead of buying a new one.
I have built my own computer, bought a monitor not realizing there is no in-built camera.
My cctv cam has an ethernet outlet. Which port should it be connected to on my computer and how do i set it up to be used as a webcam.
I am 11 years old, so please be detailed as possible. Thanks a ton!~

This is designed to only work as a CCTV security camera.
Since you only have an Ethernet cable available from the camera it only means that you can only connect that to your router.
I may suggest buying an after market or affordable USB webcams that are very easy to use and install.

If you are using a Desktop computer you will only have 1 Ethernet port at the back of your computer tower. And also how old is the Camera that you are trying to install? Most likely these types of cameras needed a driver to install on the machine to get it running.
