I am downloading the Windows 10 ISO file into my USB, and it take almost 4 hours to get to 25%. I have around 300mbps, it's strange it can take this much time for a file that only has around 10gb.

    10GB?

I used the Media Creation Tool to download the Windows 10 x64 ISO moments ago and it is a little over 4GB (bytes):

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand your query related to downloading the ISO file of Windows 10 on a USB. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below:

    1.    Are you using the Media Creation Tool to download the ISO?

    2.    Have you connected the USB device to a USB 2.0 port?

Usually, it depends on the system resource and the speed of the Flash Drive to which you are downloading the ISO.

In case you are downloading the ISO file using Media Creation Tool, then you may want to try downloading it in Safe Mode and see if that helps. Refer the article Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks for the reply!

Yes, I am using the Media Creation Tool to download the ISO but I am not sure if I have connected my USB to a USB 2.0 port.

I will use safe mode if the download fails, but it is still going, it is now 63%, so i will keep going and see how it goes.
