    Hi Gymmy44,

This is Wil, one of the independent advisor, an expert with Windows 10 and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I understand your concern about installing EMEET C960 HD webcam.

This camera is very simple to set up. In fact, there is no setup needed. All you had to do was plug it on the Windows 10 computer and the system detected the device right the way and install the driver automatically. All you have left to do is from whatever video communication app you use for example I use zoom and skype, select the right video/audio device then everything works great from there.

I hope my suggestions help you. If you need further assistance please do reply back and I will respond as quickly as possible. Have a nice day.

    Thanks,

    Wilfred P.

What webcam connection are you using?

    ..

What OS build are you on?  Hit the Windows key, type winver, hit Enter.

    Or Windows key+r, winver,

    .

If the camera is USB and you are on a laptop and you open the Camera app in the upper right there is a camera with and arrow around it.  This is where you change cameras from the internal to the external.

I'm unable to get sound when using eMeet C980 webcam. I'm on Windows 10. The correct driver is downloaded. My issue is that when I go into "settings" in Zoom, I get a "settings not responding" message. What's the problem?

I had the same issue with my C980 webcam. First it worked fine for a couple of months and then it suddenly started to freeze the OS (Windows 10) on one laptop. I didn't use it on the other laptop (also Windows 10) for some time, but kept on installing windows updates on both laptops. When I needed the webcam on the second laptop it also started freezing the OS after a few seconds. Unplugging it released windows again. I wrote an email to Emeet (******@emeet.ai) and this was their answer:

" This usually happens because the camera cannot be supplied with enough power.

    1. Do not use a USB extender to connect the C980 and a computer. If a USB dock is used, please plug the USB directly into the computer.

    2. Please uninstall and reset the USB driver, and then plug the USB cable into a different USB port.

    3. Different USB ports have different drivers. This is most likely a USB driver compatibility issue.

    4. During use, please note that the selected device is C980. "

Unfortunately I had already done all this and responded this back to them. Then their Tech department had a look at my issue and they decided this was an unsolvable issue for them. They gave me my money back almost immediately through my Amazon account, very decent. To my opinion this is a conflicting drivers problem, initiated by a Windows 10 update probably somewhere between January and end of March 2020, maybe earlier (autumn 2019 update?).
