How do I set up a second Microsoft Account? Windows 10

I've been experiencing many problems in the last year or so. I won't bother you with the details as I've had to create lots of threads to resolve the problems but one of the suggestion made by an MVP was that I should create a second account.

How do I do this please? I've searched but can't find any useful threads.

If my choice of Topics is wrong, would a Moderator please move it as appropriate. TIA

PS In case it's relevant, I'm also about to upgrade from Outlook.com to the Outlook program that came with my Office Home 365.

Hello Sid. I followed your link to sign.up.live.com and these snips show what I found:

I can't find any route to choosing between using my existing email and making it a Microsoft account or selecting the option that says "Get a new email address".

What should I do now please? Ideally I'd like to set up the account in a different name because when I looked at the above, it felt that my new and existing accounts would be linked, and I want the new account to be mainly using Firefox. I having massive problems with my outlook.com.

    Hi Taffy087,

Thank you for participating in the Microsoft Community. My name is Sid, a Microsoft user like you and an Independent Advisor. Thank you for sharing your concern. I'll be glad to help you.

To create or setup another Microsoft account, you can go to signup.live.com. From there, you can use an existing email of yours and make it a Microsoft account. Or if you don't have any other existing email, you can select the option that says "Get a new email address".

With regards to using Outlook app that came with the Office 365 instead of using the Outlook.com webmail, you can also do that because you can setup your email on the Outlook app.

    I hope this helps

    Regards,

    Sid
