In order to get better clarity, please let us know:
- How are you trying to update Windows?
- Are you able to boot the computer to Desktop?
- What is the make and model of the computer?
- Are you using a bootable USB with Windows Image to start the computer?
If you are using a bootable USB, you may want to try performing a Startup Repair on your computer and see if that helps.
Refer the steps mentioned below:
- Boot the computer using bootable USB.
- On the Install Windows screen, select Next > Repair your computer.
- On the System Recovery Options screen, select Troubleshoot> Advanced options > Startup Repair.
- Restart the PC.
