Where do I find the Physical Address on my Inspiron 3847 desktop?

I am needing it for my internet provider.

    I'm an Independent Advisor and consumer of Microsoft products just like you. Let me help you with your concern.

    You can check it using the command prompt.

    1. Open command prompt

    Press Windows + R > Type cmd > OK

    1. type the below code and press Enter

    ipconfig /all

    1. You have usually 2 physical addresses for laptops: Ethernet and Wireless LAN adapter

    For desktops, there is usually one which is for the Ethernet

    Are you sure about this? Your ISP has no need to know the MAC address (Media Access Control) for your Ethernet and/or WiFi adapters. The only MAC address they need to know is the one for your modem or hotspot (depending on how you get your internet service.) And they should know that, because they gave you that modem or hotspot.

    One of the key security features of a router is NAT (Network Address Translation) whose advantage is that it hides your adapters from the internet.
