    Dear Paul,

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

This is a very recent problem  experienced by me. I had transferred photos in Dec 19 and am able to open  those photos without any problem.

This issue has cropped up very recently.

    Default App is photo viewer

    Regards

    Shimlacharlie

    Hello Shimlacharlie,

My Name is Paul one of the Community Expert and a Windows User like you. I do apologize that you are having issues opening .JPG files from your phone. Is it only happening when trying to open files coming from your phone or in General? What is your default Photo Application?

Try to check what is your Default Photo App:

    * Click Start and search and open DEFAULT APPS.

    * Look for Photo Viewer and check which app is trying to open the Photo. Default is PHOTOS.

    Regards,

Hello Shimlacharlie, if you try to go to the location where the .JPG is saved and right click on a single file and go to PROPERTIES try to check if it opens up with PHOTOS. If not click change and select an APP.

    Regards,
