ASUS Laptop Repeatedly Disconnects from Wireless Network

My ASUS laptop, which uses Windows 10, has recently started to disconnect itself from my WiFi network at random. The network I was using still appears in the network list screen, but it will not connect if you click on it. The Qualcomm Atheros AR985 Wireless Network Adapter has been updated. Tried disabling and enabling it. Even tried uninstalling the network adapter and restart the laptop, but the problem still persists. Only way I can temporarily connect to my network is by restarting it or wake it up after it goes into sleep mode. All other devices in my home still connect with my network with no problem. Would really appreciate assistance.

In Device Manager, Network, click on adapter, click on Power Management, clear the check before "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

Cleared the check next to "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Did not work.

I Hi there DFitzpatrick , I will be your Independent Advisor for today, I hope we can both resolve your problem.

I have the same problem with my Asus Vivobook, exact same issue. the only thing I didn't try is to reset my computer.

But you can try to completely remove the Wireless driver from the device Manager, here is how to do it.

Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10.

    Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Network adapters. Right-click the problematic device and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You may need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

    Step 5. Reboot the computer.
