I have a Logitech C922 webcam. I see it in Sound, Video In Game Controllers in device manager, but the only camera listed for Cameras is the Intel AVStream  Camera 2500. How do I add the Logitech  WebCam to cameras?

Thank you, Abram Pinto. My USB-connected WebCam already appears in the Imaging Devices category, but the only camera listed in the Cameras device category is the Intel AVStream Camera 2500 that is built into my laptop.

I disabled the built-in camera because some apps would only draw video feed from it, and I could not get them to use the external camera without disabling the built-in camera. After I disabled the built-in camera, the apps would then draw a video feed from the external WebCam.

Is there any way to make the WebCam show up in the Cameras category?

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

To manually Add the Webcam to Device Manager you can follow these steps.

    1. Open your device manager
    2. Then click View > Show hidden devices.
    3. Click Action and select Add legacy hardware to open the window shown directly below.
    4. Press the Next button.
    5. Select the Install hardware that I manually select from a list option, and click the
    6. Next button.

7 .Select Imaging devices and click Next.

8 .Thereafter, select the webcam that you want to add from Device Manager; and press the Next button.

    1. Restart Windows after adding the webcam.

    Hope it helps.
