As always, just don't burn any bridges until you know things are working. If the old PC still works long enough for you to set up the new PC, do that before wiping the old one.

The files are stored automatically by “WPS Writer” (this is Not ms-works)

to the “WPS Cloud”—How do I get these files out of there and into File Explorer or a flash drive? Please help!

Thank you—i would appreciate more help. WPS Writer is a word processor by Kingsoft Writer and is an alternative to Microsoft Word. Kingsoft Writer 2016 documentation doesnt address my concern. My files are stuck in their WPS Cloud—i need to somehow first get them from that cloud to a Windows/ Microsoft location ( File Explorer, etc.) or a flash drive so I can then move them to a new computer.  I dont think i have any sign in data for this WPS Writer free edition, so i dont think it will recognize me (to access) from another computer—that’s why i need to first move them to a Windows/ Microsoft location on my current computer(will return to store, is defective), then to my new computer when it arrives. I appreciate any additional help!

Consult the product's documentation for how to download them from the cloud, but if they are in the cloud, they should be there for any PC where you install the product and log in with the same credentials.

When you create these files, where do you store them? Open File Explorer, browser to the folder where you've stored the files, then move them to whatever storage you wish to use. Once you have moved all the files, be sure to completely reset the computer before returning it.
