Error: usbxhci.sys Blue Screen on PC

Any time I try to use one of my USH 3.0 ports, I get an BSOD error.

If I start the computer with a device plugged in, it goes straight o BSOD.

If I start the computer without anything plugged into that port and then plug something in, it immediately crashes.

I've tried my printer, the wireless adaptor for my mouse and keyboard, and a USB hub. All immediately trigger a crash.

Most recent stop code is

irql_not_less_or_equal

usbxhci.sys

I've disabled the function (unchecked the box) that allows the computer to turn off the power to those drives.

I've tried to update the drives on both drives, but it looks like they're up to date.

Here are the dmp files

Any advice would be appreciated

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues with Blue Screen on your PC. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below:

    1.    Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?

    2.    Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?

    3.    What is the make and model of the PC?

Refer the article Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

Based on the analysis of dump files, it seems that the file usbxhci.sys is causing the issue, and it is related to the USB drivers. One of the things that you can try is re-installing the USB drivers and see if that helps.

    1.    Press Windows key + R. This will open Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run

    2.    In Run dialog box, type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.

    3.    Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.

    4.    Right click on the USB Root Hub and click on Uninstall.

    5.    Now check the box Delete the driver software for this device.

    6.    Click on Uninstall

    7.    Restart the PC.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi,

Thank you for the reply and I apologize for the delayed response.

Glad to know that the Blue Screen issue is resolved. However, regarding the issue with USB ports, I would suggest you to try updating the Chipset drivers from the Asus website and see if that helps.

    Regards,

    No running Windows 10

    Version 1909

    OS Build 363.720

All USB Root Hubs have been reinstalled.

I'm no longer getting an immediate crash/BSOD error, but the port still doesn't work. It shows working properly when I look at the device status for all items under USB.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Here's the info you requested.

    1.    Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?

    Windows 10 home, version 1903

OS build 18362.720I just realized that is out of date and I am currently downloading version 1909

    2.    Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?

Not that I'm aware, no. I believe this has been an issue for sometime and I've just avoided using those ports previously, but current work from home requirements make that no longer a viable solution. One cause the BSOD error listed here and another simply won't read anything I plug into it -  it gives me a "your device is malfunctioning and can't be read" error, even though they all work form different ports.

    3.    What is the make and model of the PC?

ASUS All in One Series ET2230I

Also _ meant to include this in my initial post. Per screenshot below I have two USB root Hubs. Which should I uninstall? Both?
