I have a crashed machine with bitlocker encrypted NVMe SSD drive and I also have the recovery key.

is there a method to recover data from it without taking out the drive from the machine?

Hi there Khaled Negem, thanks for the response. The best option as I see it, because your system cannot run, is to remove your Encrypted SSD drive and install it to another Windows 10 Computer running Win 10 Pro,  where you can use your BitLocker Password to open your C:\ Drive and retrieve all your Data. Do note that BitLocker Data Encryption is not available in Win 10 Home that is why you need at least  a Win 10 Pro Computer!

Following this I would suggest that you remove the BitLocker lock from your SSD drive and re-install it back to your Computer?

To remove the BitLocker from your Drive, go to Control Panel > BitLocker Drive Encryption and select/click your SSD Drive and then select the 6th Option 'Turn Off BitLocker'

A screenshot is enclosed to show the process of turning the BitLocker off.

    Hope this will help out?

    Cheers

    George

Hi there Khaled Negem, can you provide more information about this drive, is it your boot drive ( C:\ ) with your OS installed in it, or is it just another drive in your system?

We take it you cannot start your computer as it has crashed?

    Cheers

    George
