Mic not picking up voice

Hi when i try to use my mic on my computer it doesn’t pick up my voice and usually just echos Whatever is playing on my computer of i test it on discord i have tried many things like a new headset but even then nothing changes even looking into the realtek audio manager

    Hi SaltyBunny1853,

    Make sure that the microphone is not muted.

    1. Press Win + R then enter control panel
    2. View by Large icons
    3. Click on Sound
    4. On the Recording tab, make sure that the microphone is set as default
    5. Double click on it then check Levels

    If that doesn't work, you can try to reinstall microphone

    1. Win + X then select Device Manager
    2. Under Audio inputs and outputs, right-click on Microphone then uninstall
    3. Restart the computer and Windows will reinstall the missing drivers

    Hi SaltyBunny1853, I am Paulo. I'm an Independent Advisor.

    You can try visiting your Privacy settings. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone and make sure that it is enabled on all applications.

    If that doesn't work, Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Recording Audio then run the troubleshooter

    Let me know if this helps. We can try some other steps if those didn't work.
