Cannot clear print queue

I have a document stuck in  queue.  I tried cancelling from print queue, but it just says deleting and never deletes.  I shut down the computer and the printer then rebooted both.  Problem still exists.  Documents print fine from another computer to the same printer over the same wireless home network.  I used to be able to delete a problem file from the spooler folder in the past, but I don't know where that folder is any more.  Please help.

    Hi troedel

My name is Jon and I am an independent technical adviser. Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues and I would really like to help you find a resolution.

Open the Services window (Windows key + R, type services.msc, press enter).

Select Print Spooler and click the Stop icon

    Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS

You may need to show hidden files or enter an administrator's password.

Delete all contents inside the folder.

Note that this will remove all current print jobs.

Return to the Services window, select Print Spooler, and click Start.

    Hope this helps.
