How to logout of a map drive or a network drive

hi,

is there a way to logout of a network drive in Windows 10 ?

I can log into my NAS mapped drive but if I want to log into the same drive with a different user, I cannot, as there is no option to logout.

It's just easier when testing privileges set for users using the NAS if I can just login and logout with different user for the mapped drive, rather than logging out of Windows itself.

So is there a way to logout of a map or network drive after you login ?

Thank you.

    Hello Quantumlip,

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I am here to work with you in this issue and I'll be glad to help you. With regards with your concern,

On the mapped drive, Did you try to disconnect then mapped the drive again. Put a check on the "Connect using a different credential"

    or

Press Start then search Control Panel.

    Select User Accounts.

Click Manage your Credentials or Credential Manager.

In the Windows Credentials and Generic Credentials section, remove any stored credentials referencing shares, network drives or similar: Click (Details).

Click Remove then Hit Yes on the dialog box

Repeat these steps until you remove all of the credentials associated with network shares.

    Close the Control Panel window.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further concerns.

    Sincerely

    John DeV

    Hi John,

thanks for your quick reply. I am aware of disconnecting the map drivers and removing the credentials.

But I was hoping that there was a better solution like one click to "logout of map drive or network drive" so that I can re-login as a different user.

Looks like Microsoft did not implement something like that.

But once again thanks for you quick reply.

    Regards
