hello! Recently i was gifted with a razer kraken TE headset. however upon using it, i realized that the surround sound didnt work. For example, if someone is walking next to me in a game, i wouldn't be able to recognize which side he is coming from. I messaged razer for support and we came to the conclusion that it is a driver issue with my computer. So, i messaged microsoft support about 3 hours ago. The guy sent me instructions, and after doing that , the headset worked. But after going onto a youtube video, the headset stopped working and the surround sound stopped working. Please help me fix this issue

OK, Daniel, then Update your drivers and BIOS/UEFI firmware from PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page, using the full model number, Serial Number or Dell Service Tag on sticker. Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start button. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.

Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough. The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer's drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page.

If you cannot locate an Audio driver that works then trace the Hardware ID as shown in this tutorial: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki.... I can help you.

hello greg, thank you for help. However these solutions havent worked. Once again I believe it is a driver issue. I have a screenshot of a audio driver that says "error" in red and i think that is the problem.
