Logitech Options (LogiOptionsMgr.exe) crashes!
Hello!
Couple of days ago I assembled my new PC. Here are the specs:
Asus Crosshair VII Hero WIFI (bios 2501)
AMD Ryzen 3900X
Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB 3000MHz CL15
Samsung SSD NVMe 970PRO 512GB
Windows 10 1903
and some other components.
I haven't installed/tested everything yet, but so far everything is working great - except for one app: Logitech Options. I tried all versions available on Logitech website, but with the same result. What's the problem? When Windows starts or if I run the app manually, Logitech Options runs 3 processes: Logi Overlay, LogiOptions.exe and LogiOptionsMgr.exe. At this point everything works as it should, but once I start running applications - let it be Edge or whatever - LogiOptionsMgr.exe disappears from the processes list (there's no information that it crashed or anything). Mouse and keyboard are still working, but once LogiOptionsMgr.exe closes, I lose possibility to use customized buttons (I have Mx Master S2 mouse + Craft keyboard and I do a lot of video editing, so this feature is very important to me!). In event viewer there's an error:

I have no idea what's causing LogiOptionsMgr.exe to close\crash, but I've already tested some things:
- It happens with every version of Logitech Options.
- I thought that maybe some driver/app was causing it to act like that, so I installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 1903 and then, before installing any driver/app, I ran the newest version of Logitech Options - LogiOptionsMgr.exe crashed/disappeard from the processes list right after I ran some other application.
- I suspected that perhaps the newest version (1903) of Windows 10 is causing these problems, so I did a fresh install of 1803 version which worked with no issues on my old PC (Asus P8Z77-V, Intel 3770K, Corsair Vengeance 16GB). That didn't help either. LogiOptionsMgr.exe was crashing again.
- Since I switched from Intel to AMD and this issue started happening, I think the problem lies in the platform (AMD/Asus). In my workplace I use the PC with Ryzen 2700X cpu and the newest version of Windows 10 on which the Logitech Options software is working flawlessly. That means it must be the new platform that's causing problems (maybe the bios, maybe some driver; perhaps Win10 doesn't work with it properly yet - I don't know).
Since I'm not sure where I should address this issue, I'm reporting it to AMD, Asus, Microsoft and Logitech.
In the meantime, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks!

2020-01-17T13:34:11+00:00 Logitech is no longer in the business of making quality products. I doubt that they will let this be posted, but I try. I had used ‘Logi’ for 25 years now and sorry I will never purchase their products ever again. Not only do they make CHEAP junk products, their CS if among the most pitiful. And they can't understand simple ENGLISH as in this thread. If you want good quality products you have to go by the old saying, "You get what you pay for." I am a senior citizen and have arthritis. I was also having keying problems. I tried a few different keyboards and went to a QUALITY manufacturer that doesn't depend on its Name Branding, but instead, produces quality mechanical switch keyboards and my errors have diminished dramatically and my typing speed has nearly doubled. ‘Logi’ is a lot like Chevy. Owned them and trusted them for years, then a certain President, got them tied directly to the Government and they became Government Motors. Things change and so do the customer's needs.

2020-01-05T19:48:01+00:00 Jan 5/2020 Seems like this problems has been around for quite sometime without fixing. I have a Surface Pro X (which only supports 23 bits software) that I complemented with a mouse Logitech MX Master 3 and a mouse Logitech K 350, both of which do not behave properly. The Options software has not installed after hours and several trials. My names/accounts only use regular english characters. I am thinking about returning the Logitech devices since they have been a bad experience. The mouse is not reliable. The keyboard I have not been able to make several of the shortcuts to work, which was the reason I purchased it. Logitech, beware. About the Surface X Pro. Nice machine, but apparently has compatibility problems with other windows parts (not any of the Microsoft hardware world). I moved back to Windows after 8 years with the MacBook Pro and all the apple products. But got tired (and a bad back) of carrying all the weight of a PC, plus a tablet and the zillion of cables. Wanted to have all in one piece of wardware: all my working software (Office) and my browsing, drawing and sketching in one machine. I waited for several years and made the switch

2019-11-26T14:51:04+00:00 My system is an Alienware 15r3 laptop. It has an Intel i7 7700HQ, and I have the same problem, so I don't think its processor based. I have been delaying Windows update because of this problem. The Logitech options overlay seems to have a problem with d3d9.dll. When options loads, there is an unknown exception involving this file... and no, you can't update or change DirectX on Windows 10. It's managed by Windows Update.

command from Windows PowerShell (administrator) environment.
I do not think it should help but there is no harm in trying.
