Why would someone post something that is not applicable? If the computer never reaches a lock screen or sign in screen, how would this magic shift+power button work? I wish there was someone who would respond with a half way thought through answer to this issue. I get a please wait then black screen too.

I have a usb ready to boot and recover with but if i can't see the recovery advanced settings reset from usb option. Then someone needs to please tell me how to get to the old school boot menu that XP had?

And safe mode doesn't even attempted to start up.

When i ckicked Ctrl+ Alt+ Delete my computer just reset and continued to show the preparing for automatic repair and got stuck on a black screen forever. İ also tried to spam the f11 button has i turned on my computer and it said please wait. After a while it went back to a black screen and i started to hear weird noises coming from my computer so i just powered it off.

    Hello!

I'm your Independent Advisor for today. Let's figure this out and come up with a solution.

Please press Ctrl + Alt + Del while on the black screen and see if you can open Task Manager. If you can, click File > Run new task and type in "explorer.exe" and click OK. This should open your desktop screen.

You also can try the steps in the link below if the step above didn't work:

    Hope this helps.

Alright. Kindly try these steps to start the PC in safe mode with networking:

    1. On the sign in screen, press and hold down Shift and click the Power button > Select Restart. Don't let go of the Shift key until you see "Choose an option".
    2. On the "Choose an option" screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings
    3. Click Restart.
    4. Press 5 or F5 to boot in safe mode with networking
    5. Sign in to the PC using the password associated to the account.

This will boot the PC in safe mode with only the basic apps and services running, and with the network device enabled. The device should have a working internet connection in this mode.

Please tell me if this works and we'll continue troubleshooting in this mode.
