Thank you for wanting to help but I've already tried this process and at #3 there is no option to cahnge the drive so it ends there. As far as I know anyway.
built-in SD card reader driver error
The SD card is recognized and I'm ask what the computer wants me to do with it. But I can't drag anything onto it or download pictures from another one. When I try the message comes up that there's a problem with the driver. So I click "Fix driver". Then I'm told it is working---Until I put the card in again, then it all starts over. I bought a new SD card thinking maybe it was possible that I had damaged 4 cards, not so. So, I've updated the driver numerous times and turned the PC off and on numerous times and I'm still receiving the error message: 0x800701B1 Help please

You said that it recognizes your SD cards, have you tried re-assigning a new drive letter? If not, try the steps below:
- Right-click on Windows Start Menu.
- Click Disk Management to open the Disk Management console.
- Right click on your SD card drive and select Change Drive Letters and Paths.
- Click Change Drive Letter And Paths.
- Click the Change button to name a new drive letter. Ex: L. (do not use ‘A’ or ‘B’)
- Click Ok.
- Click Yes if a popup window asks you if you really want to do this.
- Restart your computer and check if the error is gone with the changed drive name.
