    Hello pba,

Apologies as the solutions didn't work. I understand that this can be frustrating but let us try one more solution if this is fine with you.

This solution can be a little bit technical as you need to perform certain command lines. Please refer to the link below and follow the instructions step by step.

    Hi Jericho

    Recylcle bin was already empty.

    i ran the WSReset.exe

after a few seconds it opened up a window with Microsoft Store.

I let the PC alone for 10 minutes, but it seemed nothing is happening. no CPU or memory usage.

i check the folder c:\programs\windowsapps and it is still 70 GB

I restart and check Again, but still 70 GB

    Hello pba,

Thank you for your response. Have you tried to empty the recycle bin? If not, please do so.

Also, one solution can be clearing the cache. However, in doing this you must reset your Microsoft Store.

Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog.

Type WSReset.exe and click/tap on OK.

Note: Doing this will remove most of your apps and clear its cache.

Hope that helps! Please let me know how it goes.

    Hi Jericho

i already deinstalled 10-15 apps as you describe.

i how downloadet the tool you suggestet and removed 15-20 apps, some of them the same as i already deinstalled.

but the size of the folder has not changed. it is still 70 GB.

I have 2 other Windows 10 laptop, identical actually, and here the folder is 4-5 GB.

    Any other suggestions ?

    Hello pba,

    Good day!

I'm Jericho, a fellow customer and an individual advisor. I am happy to assist you!

One possibility is that you haven't complety removed the applications. It is not safe to manually change or alter that folder, you can damage your system by deleting those unwanted apps directly from the source folder in WindowsApps.

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

    Go to Apps

From there select the Apps you do not use or intend to use, some, but not all of those will allow you to uninstall them

For other options, you may refer to the link below and install that tool to help you clean uninstall apps that you don't need.

    https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcen...

Click 'Get Store Apps' > Now this will load the list of your pre-installed Windows 10 Apps, from there you can choose what to uninstall.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have other queries/concerns.

    Cheers!
