Flight Simulator X download

Hi all,

Looking to download a legit free version of flight sim X directly from Microsoft, on my gaming laptop. You tube and simple searches not helpful.

I guess the bottom line questions are:

A) is there a decent free version available, that is truly free with no subscriptions?

B) If so, can you point me in the right direction?

    Hi Jeffrey, 

    Sorry to disappoint you, but neither MS nor the other Flight Sim software producers provide free versions. The best you can get is the FSX Demo version, which gives you about 30 minutes of flight.

    Otherwise, the cheapest paid version is FSX-Steam Edition:

    This version is FSX with the Acceleration Pack (from Dovetail Games) and is a downloadable product rather than a disk version.
