You can go to Kaspersky and get their removal software and completely remove all of the Kaspersky code.

All you need is Windows Security, written by those in Microsoft that know the operating system code, and Malwarebytes.

I have had no problems on my 8 computers.

    Hi,

Just always keep your Antivirus updated so that it can detect new viruses and malware.

If you think you have malware on PC but not detected in a quick scan, use Windows Defender offline scan.

    Hi RileyNichols1,

I'm Paul, a Microsoft Community Member. I hope I can help you with your concern.

I understand your concern. Even me is also afraid of computer viruses because I have important files on my PC. These are some ways to make sure my PC is well protected.

    1. Always keep your Windows updated, this is to make sure that you have the latest security features.
    2. Download and Install programs only from the most trusted websites or Microsoft Store.
    3. Turn User Account Control on, UAC notifies you when changes are going to be made to your computer that requires administrator-level permission.
    4. Perform Windows Defender Scan more often or you can set an automatic scheduled scan.
    5. You can also use a free third-party antivirus.
    6. Use firewall, Windows Firewall is usually enabled by default.
    7. Use a pop-up blocker with your Internet browsers.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.
