Yesterday i had downloaded zoom to participate in a meeting and  wondering if it had a virus . My problem is that today , i have a corrupt browser, ms edge. When i log in , and try to launch edge (to access the internet), i get this error: msedge.exe  - Bad Image.    microsoft\edge\application\83.0.478.44\msedge.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error

    Hi MarkSkattebo,

I'm Paul, a Microsoft Community Member. I hope I can help you with your concern.

Try to Repair or Reset your Microsoft Edge.

Go to Setting > Apps and Features > find and click Microsoft Edge > Advanced Options > Click Repair or Reset.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.

Bulldog , I believe I did download directly from Zoom but I can not be 100% certain. I will definitely pay attention next time any downloading is required. Thanks

Paul, I essentially  uninstalled the edge app in the settings app list, then using the old Internet Explorer (I was told by my son to find it by typing it in the search bar near Start tab), downloaded it and then (it seemed to require the repair check-box checked) as it did not work at 1st . I'm just glad there was the old back-up (Internet Explorer) sitting somewhere for issues and things like this.

      Thanks

If you downloaded the Zoom client directly from the developer's website

    https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting

you need not fear that it contained a virus. Always download software from the developer's website only.
