Can't connect my JBL Tune500 bluetooth headphones to Windows10

Yesterday my PC installed a new windows 10 update and I haven't been able to connect my headphones since.

JBL Tune500bt uses a USB device to connect to my pc (it displays the name "dongle").

Until the last update, it would display a headset symbol in the settings menu, but now the headset is replaced by what I think represents a smartphone. And because of this, I cant pair dongle to my bt headphones, I need help to find a solution.

I had the same problem and all my drivers were up do date.

    What worked for me was:

    1. Open Device Manager
    2. In Bluetooth tab, find Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator
    3. Disable it (ignore the warnings)
    4. There, I was told to restart my PC for the changed to take effect.
    5. After the restart, my PC was unable to connect to my headphones or even detect them. My Bluetooth mouse worked just fine.
    6. Enable the driver again.
    7. My PC automatically connected with my headphones and worked just fine.

If this does not work, try disabling the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE instead.

    Hello Flamarys,

I'm Jin, a fellow Windows 10 user and an independent advisor. I can see that you are unable to connect your Bluetooth headphones to your Windows 10.

To start off, kindly forget your device on both your Android and Windows 10. You can see this via the Bluetooth settings of your Android device while on Windows 10, right-click on the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar then Show devices. Select the device and click Remove device.

After, try pairing the two devices once again and check.

I also recommend that you update your Bluetooth drivers.

    1. Press Windows key + R.
    2. Type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.
    3. Look for Network Adapters then select Bluetooth Device.
    4. Right-click update driver.

If this doesn't work, reinstall your Bluetooth adapters.

Let me know if you need more help on this.

Please can anyone help in this question?

My jbl cant connect to windows as voice and audio headset.

They only connect as a smartphone i guess, and i cant do nothing with them.

I used to connect it as a Hands free device and could function as headset.

Now i can't do anything with it.

Your advise is old news and standard answers, sorry for the hush words. I - and so much other pc-users have done that allready.

Microsoft sent out an update in december 2019, that's the reason for the problem!

The solution is to find the appropriate KB and do something.

If you could help with that ...

Microsoft Support suggested a reinstall - but I'm not in the mood for that!
