    Hi OmariNatelashvili,

Lets exhaust all the possible means of troubleshooting this issue before you do the windows repair upgrade.

Step 1: Sign into your current Admin account on which you've lost administrator rights.

Step 2: Open PC Settings panel and then select Accounts.

Step 3: Select Family & other users, and then click Add someone else to this PC.

    Step 4: Click I don't have this person’s sign-in information.

Step 5: Click Add a user without a Microsoft account.

Step 6: Type a user name, and then click Next. This will add a new local account on your PC.

Step 7: Press Win + R keys to bring up Run dialog, type cmd and hit Enter.

Step 8: After the command prompt window opens, type shutdown /r /o and press Enter.

Step 9: After Windows 10 restarts to the "Choose an option" screen, click Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings. Then click Restart.

Step 10: On the Startup Settings screen, press 4 number key to enable safe mode.

Step 11: After Windows 10 starts into safe mode, open Control Panel. Go to User Accounts > Manage another account, select the new local account you added in step 6, and then click the Change the account type link. Select Administrator and click Change Account Type to change the account from a standard user to an administrator.

Step 12: Restart PC to get Windows 10 out of safe mode and go back to its normal mode. Sign in Windows 10 with the new Admin account. Now, you’ve got back administrator rights in Windows 10 and you can delete the issued Admin account on which you lost administrator rights.

    Regards,

Alright i did some runs in safemode, (CHKDSK /r, SFC /SCANNOW) Nothing was problem i gave myself administrator privileges from safemode still same i disable administrator privileges then i can use task manager but still same cant run as administrator rights Like i am running out of ideas what can i do. Anything that needs administrator rights run just freezes for long amount of time and pops up with this error windows cannot accesa the specified path file.  ![](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/dcc1e325-a579-4b24-85fc-77f9975cf0a9?platform=QnA

    Hi OmariNatelashvili,

Can you try to run the CMD with administrator privilege's using this method.

Press Windows+R to open the “Run” box. Type “cmd” into the box and then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter to run the command as an administrator.

    or

Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and select Task Manager > Select File in the upper left of the task manager > Select Run New Task > Type CMD in the search box and put a check mark in the create this task with administrative privilege's.

If this is successful run the SCAN.

    Will wait for your feedback.

    Regards,
