None of my gaming controllers is being recognized by Windows 10

Hello, good evening. I currently have a PS4 controller, a Steam controller and a Nintendo Switch Pro controller - all which can connect through USB to the computer - but none is being recognized when plugged in on the computer.

  • Other than their LEDs being turned on, they do not display a notification when connected or disconnected.
  • They do not appear on Device Manager.
  • They do not appear on Game Controllers.
  • I've got all of my Windows Updates. Tried before and after the May Update of 2020 and still no changes.
  • I have found no drivers to install or uninstall since they're not being installed at all, and I don't even see Wireless Controller things. (All of my controllers are wired, and my computer has no Bluetooth)
  • Other things, such like external hard drives and scanner, work well when connected to the USB ports. It's specifically the controllers the ones that are not being installed.

I hope I can be given a solution to this problem.

Hello. I connected the three controllers in the other computer, and all were recognized and usable without additional hardware.

This has been happening since I installed my new motherboard. They worked correctly beforehand. I can't say it's a hardware issue, since all other USB devices work correctly and get their drivers installed accordingly. It's specifically occurring with gamepads.

Thanks a lot. I had already came across that specific article while trying to fix my issue.

    • For Windows 10, it claims that it's likely a Gamepad Driver issue, yet I can't find the drivers anywhere. They're not being installed or recognized at all.
    • For Generic Gamepads - which is likely how two are being recognized - it says that I should update the drivers from Device Manager. These do not appear.
    • There are no Unknown Devices on the Device Manager.
    • The Hardware And Devices Troubleshooting option does not appear
    • The driver updater is somewhat dubious. It claims I've got installed things since before I got the computer or even existed. Tops, it claimed I could download drivers for a few things, but it doesn't say where, without paying.
    • Unchecking all the boxes that state Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power didn't work.
    • Reinstalling the USB roots didn't work either.
