    Hi Community,

I had this same issue, and finally found my fix.

In Zoom, WebEx, etc.. webcam was in color and fine. In MS Teams it was Black & White, so I knew it was specific to some setting, not a defect.

I installed Skype for Business, as I noted that Webcam controls are much better.

Open up Skype for Business and if it tells you that TEAMS is the more current app, ignore that and continue to open Skype.

Navigate to the settings for Webcam

You can play with all of the complex settings in that window, or just click defaults, and then save.

These new settings, corrected whatever I had done in the past to make my Camera show as B&W in the Microsoft platform

    Hope this helps.

Hi there bcabc, I will be your Independent Advisor for today, I hope we can both resolve your problem.

Please have the camera app reset to its original settings.

To go there on your keyboard tap on Windows Logo and X at the same time and then choose Settings, from there click on Apps then Apps and features the look for the Camera, click and click on Advanced options, Scroll down to Reset then click.

And then once done reboot your laptop.

    Hope this helps.

Let us try to uninstall and reinstall its driver from the Device manager.

Here is how to do it.

Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10.

    Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Cameras or Imaging Device. Right-click the problematic device and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You may need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

    Step 5. Reboot the computer.

    Hi there

I have a Microsoft HD cam (USB) on a Windows 10 PC and I have the same problem (black and white image). The image was working fine until a couple of weeks ago, after some Windows Update. I tried the suggestions presented here in this forum but none worked. The camera App version is 2020.127.20.0 and I suspect that it has some bug or the driver that came with it has a bug.

If I plug my camera into my old windows 7 laptop, it displays color image and works fine, so it is not an hardware problem.

    Any advise?

    Cheers
