I have a Samsung VG-STC3000 USB webcam but the device is not recognised and the driver is not installed. Can anyone help find a driver for this device?

2020-07-10T07:39:21+00:00 It appears that is exactly what Samsung have done. I can't imagine it is too difficult to write a Windows driver for it, but Samsung are not doing that, so we have a perfectly good camera that can not be used for anything! :-(

I remember they (Skype) discontinued the support for the TV Skype app and subsequently removed the app from the TV (I wasn't happy about that) leaving you with a camera that only worked for an app that no longer existed.
Surely Samsung haven't made a camera that only works on TVs?

Thanks for the reply.
The device is not new, it was made in 2013. Since I posted my question I have found out that Samsung developed the device for Samsung TVs, not for PCs and Samsung don't have Windows drivers for it. that seems a bit strange, if they have Android/Chrome OS drivers (which I assume Samsung TVs use), it should not be difficult to develop a Windows driver.
Anyone know of a Windows driver for this Webcam?

I'm Kevin B. independent advisor and a Windows 10 user like you.
If that is a new device and you plug it on your computer usually it will download the missing driver once you double click it on the C:.
Also, you can download the missing driver from the device manager for it to make up to date.
Press Windows key and type device manager
On the device manager look on the imaging device and expand the arrow.
It should detect your Samsung VG-STC3000 USB webam
right click on the list and click update driver.
Choose search automatically for update driver software.
Once its finish it would best to restart your computer to apply the changes.
If the solution above didn't work you can find a driver to the manufacturers website if available.
