    This is a temporary fix i guess, but it works for me nonetheless

    using the command:

    "powercfg -duplicatescheme 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c"

    does not add the plan high performance in this power plan. So i ended up forcing the plan to run from cmd with this code:

    "powercfg -s 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c"

    and create the ".bat" file to have a launcher so i don't have to type whenever i need to use the plan. The plan runs after couple seconds of delay and appear alongside with "balanced plan". If you change the plan to the original one, the high performance one will dissapear so you need to launch the code again.

    Hi,

    I have the same exact problem.

    The solution offered by Aditya_Roy on June 8, 2020 does not help, as CsEnabled does not exist.

    Is there an actual solution to the problem?

    Thanks.

    I am having the same problem.  I bought a top end Surface Pro 4 with i7 and 16 Gb of RAM so I could dock and do development when plugged in, and have a lightweight machine to take when meeting clients and not have to run two machines and/or copy files around.

    Thanks to MS because of this update I now have a $2,000 machine that maxxes out between running chrome, AV, teams, and handful of basic apps.  Please quit being my chaperone and let me decide how to best use my computer.  Give us back the high performance mode and let us change power settings like Windows has operated for 15 years.

    Like others I have had this problem since the 2004 update. CsEnabled isn't in the registry, and the PowerShell commands return "Not supported". I currently can't use my Surface Pro 7 for it's intended purpose when plugged in.
