    Hi,

For some reason I cannot open 'Change Adapter Options' on Network & Internet Setting under the 'Related settings'. Task manager shows under background processes Windows control panel is running but the window of Network connection is does not show.

    How to repair this?

    Try this:

    1. Open run (Windows Key + R) > type gpedit.msc > Open
    2. In the navigation pane on the left, expand Computer ConfigurationWindows Settings> Security SettingsLocal Policies
    3. Select Security Options
    4. On the right pane, scroll down and double click User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for the Built-in Administrator account
    5. Select Enabled
    6. Apply > OK and then Restart Windows

Change Adapter Options should be working now.

    Hi Jms-FK

Try accessing that directly to see if it will open . . .

Open the old Control Panel (click your Start Button, then just type control and hit Enter)

At the top right of Control Panel, set view to icons

Click 'Network and Sharing Center', then click 'Change Adapter Settings'

Does the above work for you,and if not, at what point does that fail?

    Hi Jms-FK

Microsoft is currently porting over all Windows Settings form that old Control Panel to the new Settings App, they must have got that link wrong and it is not passing the argument from that link correctly to the old Control Panel . . .

    Hi DaveM121

Yes its work if accessing from control panel.

But why when accessing from windows setting it doesn't show, what cause the 'Change Adapter Options' not showing when the task manager processes is running
