Color Profile keeps resetting after laptop screen goes to sleep or shut down

I just bought a brand new laptop (ASUS Vivobook 15 [not S15]). The screen has a noticeable yellow tint. Every time I try to change the default color profile to sRGB it resets after I close the laptop or restart/turn it off. It happens for all users on the laptop. I've tried setting sRGB as default, turning off the windows color task scheduler, and ran the color calibration test, but no matter what it keeps resetting. Now for some reason I can't even open the Color Management page anymore (tried opening it through power shell, cmd prompt, run, control panel). This is getting VERY frustrating.

I've been having the same trouble with the same laptop for months. Finally, I've got the solution. The problem here was the MyASUS app and it's Splendid utility. It was not letting Windows apply it's calibration, but instead applying the Normal color profile from ASUS Sqplendid. So, to prevent that from happening just get rid of those crappy yellow tinted color profiles. They're located at

    C:\ProgramData\ASUS\ASUS System Control Interface\AsusOptimization\Splendid

Just move all of the .icm files from the folder elsewhere. The Splendid option should disappear from MyASUS. Now, just sit back and apply the sRGB color profile from Windows and watch it not change.

This worked for me anyway. I hope it does for you too. Cheers :)

Yep same here - I have to go into the "Display Settings > Color Profile" and then choose anything (even the one it was on) and it will correct it. But I have to do it every time I use the computer. Only just started happening - but cannot find a fix for it.

Any one out there able to help?

Search for and run Color Management(will be a Control Panel older-style window) and go to the Advanced tab.

Change device profile (the first setting) to Enhanced and change the viewing conditions profile (the setting immediately below it) to WCS profile for ICC viewing conditions ... then you can select close and you should be good. Will look like this:

I'm about 99% sure this will work. I had the exact same issue and doing this solved it.

    Hello everyone,

Here's an overdue update: I decided to switch computers to an Acer Aspire. Though the colour profile was an issue, the battery life was completely inadequate and the trackpad was also of poor quality and didn't track propely.

Thank you all for the responses. I left this open in case someone in the future has this issue.

I already checked the night light feature and turned it off. That wasn't it. Thanks though...
