"Continue Reading" prompt on news articles

What is the rationale behind the the annoying "Continue Reading" prompt when viewing news articles in Edge?

Obviously, if I click a news story I WANT TO read the article, but only a portion is displayed with a "Continue Reading" prompt. This is senseless and annoying.

Why is this being displayed? Is this a ploy just to skew the analytics into thinking Edge or Bing is getting more "clicks" than it really is?  That's the only reason I can think of, because it just does not make sense to have this "continue reading" prompt.

We here don't know why MSN and other sites use that "Contiunue reading" link.

And... you aren't communicating with MSN when you post here. There should be a Feedback link on the MSN webpage. Submit feedback via that link.

Gee, stupid of me to assume I could post to a Microsoft forum for issues with a Microsoft service.  There IS NO feedback link on the page.

Incidentally, this has nothing to do with MSN, my complaint is regarding the default home page that EDGE uses.  I posted in the EDGE forums, why was this moved to the MSN forums?

Sorry. If I sounded rude, I didn't mean to Your post seems to be essentially a complaint, in the form of a rhetorical question.  It should be submitted via the Feedback that's almost certainly on the MSN page.

That link might be the word Feedback at the bottom of the page, a little grey box near the bottom of the page or, only once, I found a feedback icon that was the piece of paper laying on top of another piece of paper icon.
