How to enable Windows Touchpad after it disabled itself

I very recently upgraded to Windows 10, and a few days later, my laptop froze, and after I restarted it, I got a notification that my touchpad has been disabled, and my mouse curser disappeared. How do I fix this using only my keyboard? I've went into my touchpad settings, and I didn't see an option to enable my touchpad, so I'm at a complete loss. Thank you for your help!!!

I finally found a video that actually helped!!! If anyone else has this issue, use your function key (fn) and whichever function key (f1-f12) has a picture of your touchpad on it, for my laptop, it was f3. So I held down (fn) and pressed (f3), and got the notification that my touchpad was enabled! Thank you everyone for your help!

    Hi ElizabethSparks-

I'm Kevin B. Independent advisor and Windows 10 user like you. I do apologize for the inconvenience but let me help you sort things out.

If you do have a external mouse that you can connect it would be better so that you can work easily.

If there is no mouse available you need to do it manually on your keyboard.

The simply solution to turn On my touchpad. Simply hold down and Fn (function) key and press the F7 key. Repeating the key combination will turn it back off. Check your keyboard to see if that same key combo would apply in your situation.

Hope this will help and have a blessed day!

    Thanks.

What OS build are you on?  Hit the Windows key, type winver, hit Enter.

    Or Windows key+r, winver, OK
