"OneDrive isn't signed in" Error message

Every time I restart my computer, the above message shows up on my screen after my desktop is opened.  The message shouldn't be there, obviously.  My OneDrive IS signed in but for some reason I keep getting that message.   I access OneDrive through my browser, not an app.  I don't understand why this is happening.  BTW, this problem started after my computer installed the latest version of Windows 10 a couple days ago.  I have had several problems come up since that update.

Thanks

Good day! I'm Raniel, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

If your account is also signed in on your OneDrive desktop app, can you perform the steps below:

    1. Open Control Panel and go to User Accounts > Credential Manager
    2. Click on Windows Credentials and check if OneDrive is on the list of credentials then remove it.
    3. Right-click on the OneDrive icon on your taskbar and select Settings > Account > Unlink this PC > Unlink this account
    4. Try to sign-in again and check if the issue persist.

If the issue persist, you may try to perform a reset of your OneDrive. Please see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/rese...

    I hope this helps.

I followed your instructions but OneDrive is NOT on the list of credentials.  There are only three entries under Windows Credentials.  Under the "Generic Credentials" section there are two entries:

    virtualapp/didlogical

    SSO_PPO_Device

When I opened the details for both of those entries, they show a User name that is NOT mine.  Should I delete those entries?  I have no idea what user name that is.

Sorry to add to this post but I thought I would mention that to you.

I still have to find out why I'm getting the original OneDrive message.

    Thanks

    Hi BobInOhio,

Apologies if the suggested steps didn't work for you.

Regarding your concern with windows credentials, these are related to Windows live products. Please see these these threads for further details:

I'm running out of options here. Let's see if someone else has a better idea with regards to this issue.

First of all, your answer doesn't seem legit.  Learn how to spell "they're"

Secondly, your instructions are very vague.  They don't tell me exactly how to perform the steps.

Does anybody else have a solution to this that makes sense?

    Thanks

I even tried turning off notifications for OneDrive but that message is still showing.  Let me know what you would suggest as a solution.

    Thanks.
