I don't recommend uninstalling Microsoft drivers on your computer without having a good reason.
However, given the fact you have an overheating problem, try to use the battery slider of your computer : in the Windows Notification zone (bottom-right), click on the battery icon and drag the slider all the way to the left. Also, in the Power setting of your
computer, try to change the power profile of your computer to prefer battery longevity.

Good! Super! I've been advised as of late to uninstall this driver & reboot because if the laptop is unplugged and the battery nears the lowest level, instead of giving me time to plug it in, it immediately closes down without me having time to blink. Of
course, I won't know if this worked or not till I see the computer running on Battery power get down to the point where it warns me to plug it in.
Having uninstalled the 'Microsoft acpi compliant control method battery' I am now enjoying the Power Plans gone whacky tabaccy! O great day in the morning!
