All of my Game saves went missing

I was notified by OneDrive that it was running out of space.  In trying to get more space I lost all of my game saves.  I'm outraged to find out that none of my game saves are being stored on my computer any longer, only on OneDrive.  If I've lost 10,000 hours of playing history because of Microsoft's greed I'm really going to be angry.

I have my system set up to do a backup every day and OneDrive is one of the folders it is supposed to backup.  My last backup was two days ago according to the system.  However I can't find any of those backups so that I can restore those lost game saves.

Can I get some help restoring those game saves?

Hello there! I'm glad that you're able to recover those missing saved games. About issues with your game having recognizing your saves I may have limited information about that, however let me release your question to the advisors so we can further fix the issue.

You take care and keep safe always.

    Regards,

    Louie

I restarted my Computer and I see that that God Damned F_ing OneDrive is active again.  Am I going to have to disable that piece of Microsoft thieving garbage every time I start my computer?  As corrupt and unscrupulous a company as Microsoft has always been I wouldn't doubt it.

Don't bother.  I found a solution to the missing play throughs by coping stuff from the recycle bin to the Saves folder.  Then I disabled OneDrive.  So both problems are fixed.  But OneDrive really screwed up my game data.  One of my old Play throughs had over 550 saves and I lost several hours of play on my current Play through, but at least I recovered most of what I had lost.

Once again, thanks for your help Louie

That helped, thanks Louie.  I've restored all of my game saves to OneDrive and I'm back to where OneDrive is telling me that I'm running out of space.  However my game no longer recognizes those saves as being there.

So the next problem is how to get my game to see those game saves.  Looking at my Game Saves folder all of my saves are there, but OneDrive used to be there instead.  Apparently deactivating OneDrive got rid of it.

The follow on problem is dealing with the OneDrive space issue.  There is no way in hell that I'm going to start paying Microsoft to expand the space on OneDrive when I have 15 TB of free disk space on my computer.
