Just got a new PC so had to resetup my xbox 360 controller with it. I've got the receiver plugged in and have installed all the drivers, however the xbox controller still won't pair. I click the pairing button on the controller and it starts searching, as soon as I click the button on the receiver it stops searching and all 4 green lights start flashing at once, but the controller doesn't connect.
Anything I can do?
I've gone into device manager and installed the drivers via there, and installed drivers via downloading them and still no go.

I have the same exact problem. I think it might have to do with a recent windows update. It used to work on my PC days ago, and all of a sudden now it doesn't pair. I do remember a long windows update not so long ago.
I was never able to fix the issue. Eventually went and purchased a wired xbox 1 controller and that worked fine. Still prefer the feel of the 360 I must say
Yes I've done that too. It searches for one circle then all lights start flashing.
For some reason after I install the driver it remains a "unknown device". Everything I've looked at more or less says it should then no longer be an unknown device at that point as the driver is installed.
You ought to first put the receiver into pairing mode then activate pairing mode on the controller.
