    Hi Manish

The DELL Inspiron 5593 does not have a webcam that supports Windows Hello facial recognition, that functionality requires an Infrared or 3D webcam

Here is a list of Dell devices that support Windows Hello

    Hello Manish,

    Thanks for the update.

Can you please try to reset the Windows Hello Biometric Database? Please see steps below:

    1. Press Windows key + R, to open Run dialog box.
    2. Type services.msc and click on OK.
    3. Look for Windows Biometric Service, double click on it and click on Stop.
    4. Now, go to C:\Windows\System32\WinBioDatabase, take a backup of all the files inside the WinBioDatabase folder.
    5. After taking a backup of the files, delete all the files.
    6. Now, open Services by following step 1 and 2, and restart the Windows Biometric Service.
    7. Go to Start >> Settings >> Accounts >> Sign-in options and register the Face data again.

    Hello Manish,

I am Antonio, a Microsoft Community independent advisor, a Windows 10 and Microsoft office user like you. I hope I can help you on your concern.

Please check if you have the C:\Windows\System32\WinBioPlugIns\FaceDriver folder, if not, you need to install the optional feature "Windows Hello Face".

    Steps:

    1. Open Settings -> Apps
    2. Click 'Manage Optional features'
    3. Click 'Add a feature'
    4. Select 'Windows Hello Face' from near the bottom of the list and Install it
    5. Reboot after the installation is complete

Now Windows Hello Face should detect your Windows Hello compatible camera, assuming its drivers and everything else are working properly.
