Chances are your OLD Gateway has a failed hard drive.  If has not yet failed, it soon will.

Try following this to see if you can fix

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219533-troubleshooting-windows-7-failure-boot.html

Even if you get it to boot again, you should be backing up your data often and getting ready to replace the hard drive and re-install Windows 7.  I recommend this be done by yourself, not by local shops.  Local shops often botch the job and charge a lot of money.  It is not that difficult to do yourself.   If you are interested, I can give you fairly detailed instructions.

Here are the instructions.  If they do not solve the problem, it is likely the hard drive has already failed completely:

    1.Start globe (bottom left)

    2.All programs

    3.Accessories

4.Right-click on Command prompt, choose Run as administrator

    5.bootrec /Fixboot

    6.bootrec /FixMBR

    7.bootrec /RebuildBCD

The following is the detailed procedure I follow for my clients' Windows 7 computers:

    https://www.askwoody.com/2019/canadian-tech-how-to-rebuild-a-win7-system-with-minimal-snooping/

A new hard drive is likely available for under $100 Cdn.  The physical hardware process of replacing the drive is quite easy actually.  You can likely find youtube instructions.

If the drive has failed, you may be able to get your data off (assuming you have no backup).  To do that you need to remove the old drive and temporarily install it in an external USB drive housing.  Then connect that to a working computer.  In most cases, at least some of the data can be harvested that way.
