Epson D78 driver

Hi

I have an old Epson Stylus D78, but a new computer running Windows 10 (64bit)

Epson say they do not support this old printer.

I have a Microsoft driver that allows me to print but not monitor the ink levels.

Is there a driver that lets me check on the ink levels please?

Dave

    Hi Dave

Sorry about that - Windows will pick the best driver it can for your device, and I have no doubt it has, but Microsoft will not be able to implement every feature in there drivers as the third-party really should be doing that.

Unfortunately, as it's an older printer, I doubt they will in this case.

    Kind regards,

    Carl.

    Thanks Carl.

Online chat with Epson suggests they dont have a driver that does that and maybe Microsoft will have.

Looks like I am a bit stuck.

    Cheers

    Dave

    Hi DaveRotherham,

My name is Carl and I am an independent Windows 10 advisor.

I've checked Epsons website and can't find any support for Windows 10. If it's not under the preferences of the printer then it's unlikely to be able to do this feature unless Epson release a new driver for it.

    Kind regards,

    Carl.
