after windows 10 update, touch screen will not work

I have tried so many things that im at my wits ends.

Tried uninstalling updates, tried going back to a restore point, tried to factory reset (hp desktop -it will not let me factory rest- reset fails)

The device manager shows all drivers and allows touch screen to work when device is in safemode with networking ONLY no other mode shows all the hid devices in bold/enabled

When logged into my user account, if I use "show hidden drivers" all the drivers that are needed for touch screen appear but are grayed out.

I can check for updates for the drivers but system says there are no updates.

There is also no option to enable the drivers only to uninstal or update when right clicking

I am at a loss and am beyond frustrated.

Any suggestions?

    Hi,

I understand that the previously provided solution didn't work so as the next step in solving your issue I would suggest you follow the below.

    Fix #1

    Step 1:

On the login screen click on Power icon on the right corner

    Step 2:

Press Shift Key and press hold and then click Restart (This will restart the system in recovery mode)

    Step 3:

In the recovery bluescreen options you’ll need to click (or tap) the Troubleshoot option

    Step 4:

Then click on Refresh your PC (Selecting this option keeps data and Windows default programs safe but the programs which you have downloaded and installed or from CD/DVD needs to be re-installed)

    Regards
