Ever since I done a Network Reset I can no longer go into the advanced settings of my ethernet, I want to change the duplex but the setting isn't present. I am on the latest version of windows. I have also downloaded the latest driver by using the windows update driver option.

Hello,

My Name is Chander and I am Independent Advisor and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I hope I can help you on your concern.

Please try following options. -

  1. Try resting Network windsock settings-

on elevated command prompt run - netsh winsock reset and see if that helps?

  1. try to completely uninstall the driver and install the driver.

Go to device manager, uninstall the existing network driver, reboot the computer, it should automatically install the network driver, if it does not install the driver manually. (note - download the network driver from manufacturer website before uninstalling it)

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you, I tried reseting the network windsock settings beforehand and it didn't work. The driver from the manufacture (intel) worked fine and gave me the settings I needed, I just a assumed that windows would find the driver automatically as it had in the past for my ethernet. Thanks again, checking the manufactures website went over my head when trying to solve this.
