Closing the lid; do nothing

I'm trying to keep my laptop screen from turning off when I close the lid. I changed the settings in the Power Options under "When I close the lid, Plugged in" from sleep to Do Nothing (my laptop is always plugged in).

However, despite this, the screen still blacks out when I close the lid. What should I do with it?

Good day! I'm Raniel, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

Kindly run the troubleshooter and see if it helps. Go to Settings > Update and Security > Troubleshoot > Power > select Run the troubleshooter

You can also reset your power plans to default

    1. On your search bar, type command prompt and select "run as administrator"
    2. Type powercfg -restoredefaultschemes and press Enter
    3. Perform a reboot

Once done, go back to the setting "Choose what closing the lid does" and set it back to "Do Nothing" and click on "Save Changes".

You can also try the methods on this thread: https://superuser.com/questions/1097780/prevent...

    I hope this helps.
