Missing of custom paper size

Hi,

I need to print at custom paper size of 8.5inch x 5.5inch, and i have tried create this paper size via Print Server Properties many times, but I don't know what happens, it will frequent missing himself after "unknown" timing, somes is in after PC restart, somes is next second of works, this is quite annoying for me to keep create this paper size back after it missing himself.

I've googled and found a lot of peoples encounter this issue too, since 2003 on windows 7 until now windows 10, but I've had not luck to google out the solution, it look like windows known bug that without solution or fix yet, please correct me.

I hope can receive the solution by this post, thank you very much.

    This is really a known bug of Windows and alive without solution?

    Since we can't solve the User Defined Paper Size be deleted automatic by Windows, then can someone write a script or bat file for adding user defined paper size? I need it at Windows Startup to avoid the annoying of manual set it everytime it had missing.

    No, that why i need to create the custom paper size.

    I've tried create a size eg. like A4, and it also will missing after certain unknown timing.

    The most weird is, this only happens on one of my office computer, but not others.

    Perhaps, this pc had turn on the settings for windows to do a house keeping to remove all user defined paper size after certain unknown timing, that i guess, and i can't find any source to prove it.

    If you google, you can found that this problem had existed couples of years since windows 7, not common but still exists day by day for lucky people like me.

    Reformat a windows sound like a solution, but i not intended to, at least, not now.

    Any clues? Tqvm.

    Hi Anthony, i'm using Epson LQ310, and found whatever custom paper size created, it will missing after certain unknown timing, mostly is after shutdown/restart.

    I suspect is windows automatically delete those user defined papersize for house keeping, but not sure yet, just a guess.

    Any clue?

    Good day!!!

    Just a thought but maybe could help. Your customize paper size is 8.5inch x 5.5inch. Have you check on the paper size selection if there is such as half letter size or 140 × 279 mm as this is equivalent in 8.5inch x 5.5inch..
