I can not see or access MyBookWorld drive on my new computer running Windows 10.  Sorry I have no idea how to set this up.  My ex used to do this kind of thing for me.  I need simple steps please.  Thank you.

Ok, thank you for the update. Now it is clear what exactly do you need. We need you to access your old computer so we can see how exactly this remote access to network drive is done.

In the old computer open the Windows Command Prompt:

    1 - Use the Win + R keyboard shortcut

2- Type the CMD command and click Ok

    On the black screen type

    net use

And hit Enter. This command will show if there is a network drive mapped on your computer. Please copy and paste here what the command shows to you so we can see what to do next.

I do not have the drive plugged into the new computer.  It works over the network for the old computer running Windows 8.

On my new machine there is no plug to put the small plug from the drive into.

The drive does not show up on Windows 10 at all.

I do have the admin password for the old machine.

I am fairly sure that when my ex set this up - he did it over the web.

Sorry if I am being dense here.

Hi! My name is Anderson Souza. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you, I'll be glad to help you today.

When I connect my external USB HDD Windows doesn’t assign a drive letter to it to. You can try to follow the steps in below article and see if it solves your problem.
