    I'm sorry to inform you, but this printer has been discontinued and is not compatible with Windows 10.

    If you check the printer official support page, you'll see that the latest driver release was for Windows Vista:

    You can try to download it and see if it works on Windows 10, but there is no guarantee it will.

    The printer worked with my desk top that had windows7, now I'm hooking up my laptop with windows10 and it says driver unavailable-- but it does recognize my Lexmark.

    Hi,

    The drivers you used on your desktop should work on the Windows 10 Laptop.. You might need to use Compatibility Mode for it to run, but I don't think I had too.. I used files from the original Lexmark CD that came with the printer for XP and Vista to install on Windows 10, and it worked perfectly..

    The primary issue I had is that after a major Windows 10 build upgrade that it sometimes quit working and took some tricks to get it going again.. You should not have a problem with the first install to the laptop..

    Thanks, but the printer worked with my desk top in windows 7, but I just started using my laptop with windows10 and now have the problem.

    Hi,

    The driver that came with the printer should still work.. I had a X5340 that worked better with the original XP\Vista drivers then it did with Lexmark's latest.. One issue was that the newer printer drivers did not include the scanner drivers..

    If the printer had been installed previously and has failed after a Update\Upgrade, there can be issues regarding reinstalling\repairing it to work again.. Is this the first time it has been installed ?
