When I run app it runs multiple instances of it and it's only visible in Task Manager and wasted a lot of memory.

I have tried running virus scan from Windows Defender, Kaspersky and Avast but nothing is found.

What can I do?

    hm....

My laptop is brand new with 8GB of RAM and 10th GEN i5 and both memory and CPU go up to 95% when I run just 2 apps.

Why is that happening then? :(

There isn't really an issue, Llia. This is by default. In case of Chrome, doesn't mean you have exactly 13 tabs opens, but the more tabs you have, more processes you'll see (there are other background process too).

Its not always about instances, it's about background processes that the app uses in order to function. Is like the example I gave you, instead of the app close itself entirely if something wrong happens to it, it can close only the faulty process without affecting the whole app itself.

Same with me, same with everybody else, there's nothing to worry about that! ;)

Hi, IliaChigogidze. Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you, and I am here to work with you on this issue.

That's actually a normal behavior. Each app has different processes/instances running background, and in that way, if one of that fails, it can be closed without the whole app having to be closed.

Take Chrome for instance: it usually shows the number of opened tabs you currently have.

I'm sending you my screen so you can see that is basically the same.

Having said that, you don't have to worry about it, and that why you security softwares didn't find anything.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if that works for you, ok?

I understand that in case of Chrome, but still I don't have 13 tabs opened.

And in case of Figma and Slack there shouldn't be more than one instance running...

I don't know how to solve the issue :(
