Using Notepad to write a simple letter.

I am trying to write a simple letter using Notepad. I do not have MSWord etc.  anymore. I may write 2 letters a year and it's not cost-effective.

I am trying to format sentences so they wrap around. The sentences get broken apart thru several lines. tried word wrap.

Any suggestions?

    Hi Molly,

Try using wordpad, it's free, has more features than notepad & comes with Windows.

Use the Run window to start WordPad

A quick method to start WordPad is to open the Run window (Windows + R), type wordpad in the Open field, and click or tap OK.

    Regards,

    Lee

Notepad is a basic text editor with no fancy features of any kind. If you want sentences to wrap for printing, you'll have to do that manually.

Windows 10 also includes WordPad, which has more features that may appeal to. Find it at:

Start button > Windows Accessories > WordPad
