Why suddenly there is Authenticated Users coming for all files and folders in my C drive?

Earlier i had only SYSTEM, Administrators & Users (where administrators and users have my name). But ever since I have swapped my hdd with ssd and put my hdd into caddy in place of disk drive and migrated my OS from hdd to ssd, I see here that both my C and D drives have by default "Authenticated Users" is selected.

How to remove this "Authenticated Users" and keep only three (system, administrators and users)? Because I'm facing issues while moving files which asks for authentication each time. And while installing software like Oracle, the installed failed to install as it doesn't have permission. So please help me anyone to get rid of this so that I have by default get full control and i can see either SYSTEM or Administrators when i check it. Many many thanks.

The two screenshots you shared at the top are expected and you should have access to share and save documents. However, the screenshot in right down is not normal and that is why you are receiving this error. Did you recently change permission and removed them in your Windows?

You will need to add those under permission folder and in some cases, try sign out and sign in.

Are you able to copy in C: and D: drive?

    Try run this troubleshooter:

    Hi again,

Earlier also, I haven't added any account other than my one microsoft account. So why AUTHENTICATED USERS will come instead of SYSTEM or ADMINISTRATORS or USERS?

To verify this, I formatted my SSD (C drive) and HDD (D drive) as well and freshly installed windows10 again. But again same issue. C drive has AU on the top and I'm again not be able to save any file whether it is paint file or doc or txt or anything.

If I can't save anything in C drive, how do i install ORACLE 19C? Only if i have full control on C drive like earlier, then it won't have any issue.

Please check and it tell how why I'm not myself ADMINISTRATOR and how do i gain access to C drive fully? Please reply me in 1 sec as I'm too much depressed!

This is normal behavior and Authenticate Users are everyone who has access to login to the system. Let say if you create new account in your PC, it will consider as Authenticate Users.

You don't have to remove it.

The problem with Oracle installer and permission is different story, try open start and search for UAC and open User Account Control and you could change its level.
